I got a Yashica-A TLR last August from my cousin Gerald in Baton Rouge and after eight months, I just had the chance to use it last Easter weekend. All the while it graced my bookshelf. It’s such a pretty camera, perfect for any home display, but kinda intimidating to use. The size. The chambers. The lens. The dials. Looked complicated to me. I had to calm my fingers while loading the film because they were shaking so much. You would think I took in a high dose of caffeine with the way they shook. But luckily I did load the film right and my first roll was a success. Success meaning all the shots came out well. Learning the tricks of the camera would be for the next lesson.
And three shots from her. I love the square format.
